How To Watch College Football NFL Game schedule Week 3: TV coverage, Channels, College Football Scores Today

It’s the third week of the NFL season. On Thursday night, the Steelers and Browns played in a divisional game in prime time.

The action intensifies on Sunday with an AFC East clash between the Dolphins and Bills, two unbeaten teams, starting at 1 p.m. ET. In Foxborough on Sunday’s early afternoon schedule, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will play the Patriots.

The action heats up in the late afternoon with multiple quarterback duels. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars will play Justin Herbert and the Chargers in Inglewood, California, at 4:05 p.m. ET. In what might be their final encounter, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers at 4:25 p.m. ET.

In addition to the Thursday night game, college football Week 3 features two more prime-time contests: on Sunday night, the 49ers travel to the Mile High City to play the Broncos, and on Monday night, the Cowboys travel to the Meadowlands to try to defeat the Giants for the first time this year.

Here is Week 3 schedule for the 2022 NFL season, along with information on how to watch every game live and the results of each game. The list of national broadcasts is bolded.

In Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season, there will be three prime-time games, starting on Thursday night with a matchup between the Browns and Steelers in the AFC North. Russell Wilson and the Broncos will play the 49ers on Sunday night, who will be led by Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback due to Trey Lance’s season-ending fractured ankle.

The Giants will try to improve their record to 3-0 on Monday night when they host Cooper Rush and the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium for what could be a thrilling NFC East contest.

The action-packed schedule for Sunday kicks off at 1 p.m. ET when the Bills travel to Miami to play the Dolphins in a matchup of 2-0 AFC East teams. The Packers-Buccaneers game in Tampa will probably feel like a prime-time contest at 4:25 p.m. ET.

Best Fantasy College Football Success in Week 3: Zack Moss Emerges, Matt Breida Ready to Shine

The best Week 2 fantasy waiver wire additions and free agent additions probably won’t spark the same level of activity, but there are still several impact players worth taking into consideration. Last week’s waiver wire was as active as it’s ever been to start the season. The most exciting alternatives would appear to be the rookie WRs Marvin Mims, Tank Dell, and Jayden Reed, but “boring” veterans like Matt Breida, Zack Moss, and Josh Reynolds should be more dependable.

No matter what kind of player you’re aiming for this week on the wire, we’ve got you covered.

Our complete waiver list is filled with underrated players, including more underrated RBs (Justice Hill, Roschon Johnson), developing WRs (Nelson Agholor, Skyy Moore, Tutu Atwell), and even one or two unexpected TEs (Cade Otton, Zach Ertz). At the end of the list, as usual, we also include some possible D/ST streamers for the upcoming week.

This week, it’s difficult to advise using a top waiver claim unless you truly need a running back and one of Moss, Breida, or Hill is available. Johnson might have the greatest potential in the long run, but he isn’t currently deserving of a top claim. The WRs have a lot of potential for the rest of the season as well, but right now, a high waiver claim is more valuable.

Nevertheless, this week is good for “taking out some trash,” or benching players who have performed poorly for the past two weeks. When free agency arrives, you should have aims in mind rather than just doing it for the sake of doing it. You can utilise modest waiver claims on these stashes if you want to, but keep in mind that there will be more accidents and surprises the following week.

Top fantasy College football waiver pickups for Week 3:

Except as otherwise stated, only players owned in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues are taken into account.

Colts RB Zack Moss. After making his season debut, Moss quickly established himself as the Colts’ primary running back by logging 18 touches for 88 yards and a touchdown. Additionally, he scored 19 yards on all four of his targets. Given that Jonathan Taylor will be out for at least two more games, if not more, Moss ought to be owned in more than 52% of Yahoo leagues in the interim. Consider using him as a flex option against Baltimore the next week, particularly if QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) is out and unable to score on quick TD runs.

Giants running back Matt Breida. The apparent lower leg injury Saquon Barkley sustained late in New York’s comeback victory over Arizona left him clearly agitated, and there’s a good chance he’ll miss some time moving ahead. Enter Breida, who will likely be given the opportunity to start if Barkley is sidelined. The seasoned running back hasn’t done much since his stint with San Francisco in 2019, but in the short time he’s had the past four years (4.3), he’s maintained a respectable yards-per-carry. Breida is valuable in fantasy leagues because every starting running back has value, but we wouldn’t employ him the following week against the 49ers given the presence of Gary Brightwell and Eric Grey.

Fantasy College Football WEEK 3 PPR RANKINGS:

Ravens running back Justice Hill. After his two touchdowns in Week 1, fantasy owners for whatever reason weren’t too interested in Hill, possibly believing Gus Edwards would easily win the starting job. That doesn’t seem to be the case, based on how they were used in Week 2. Compared to Edwards’ 10 touches and 62 yards, Hill had 14 touches (RB-high 11 carries, three catches, and 53 total yards). Edwards did score on a one-yard touchdown plunge, but Hill will undoubtedly play a part. He should be owned in far more than 45% of Yahoo leagues, and he might be a flex versus Indianapolis the following week.

WR Josh Reynolds of the Lions. Reynolds dazzled in Week 1 with four catches on seven targets for 80 yards, and in Week 2 he improved to a 5-66-2 line on six targets. He appears to be Jared Goff’s No. 2 receiver for the foreseeable future, at least until Jameson Williams returns in Week 7. This will probably result in at least some flex value most weeks. You should start him against Atlanta in Week 3.

Rams, WR, Tutu Atwell. Atwell put up another strong effort in a more difficult matchup in Week 2 after recording 119 yards in Week 1. He ended with nine targets and seven catches for a total of 77 yards. Puka Nacua is undoubtedly Matthew Stafford’s new favourite toy, but as defences turn their focus to the sure-handed rookie, Atwell may find himself with more room to manoeuvre and opportunities to capitalise on. Next week, when Cincinnati is on the schedule, he could flex.

Skyy Moore, Chiefs, WR. Moore was largely benched following his Week 1 flub, but maybe Travis Kelce’s comeback may benefit more than just Patrick Mahomes. On three catches (four targets), Moore had a breakout performance for a team-high 70 yards and a touchdown. Moore had a late 54-yard reception that boosted his stats, but with this offence, several pass catchers may (and will) be valuable. Although picking the ideal player each week is a different matter, Moore demonstrated why 12-team teams should consider buying him. Next week against Chicago, he could be flexed.

Tank Dell, WR, Texans. It’s important to note that Dell had another touchdown called back due to a penalty. Dell finished the game with seven catches for 72 yards and a touchdown by taking advantage of garbage time. Currently, many injuries along the offensive line are the main cause of Houston’s offense’s disarray, but it is obvious that Dell will play a role. In 12-team teams, the adaptable rookie is valuable to stash, but we wouldn’t definitely start him the following week versus Jacksonville.

Jayden Reed, WR, Packers. Reed excelled with four catches (a team-high eight targets), 37 yards, and two scores when Christian Watson (hamstring) was out. Reed might not have much long-term value with Watson scheduled to return next week, but based on what we’ve seen from him thus far and the fact that he’s already doubled the next-closest receiver in targets, he’s worth stashing. But watch out for him when New Orleans visits next week.

Marvin Mims, WR, Broncos. This past week, where were you? Evidently, Jerry Jeudy’s return was all that Mims required in order to leave. In any case, the showy youngster made a splash with two deep catches, one of which resulted in a touchdown. He totaled 113 receiving yards on his two targets, proving he’s at least worth stashing in 12-team teams ahead of the game in Miami the following week. Brandon Johnson, a teammate, did the same, catching two of his three targets for 66 yards and two touchdowns. While he’s still equally as active as Mims, we’re not as keen on him because a large portion of his production came on a 50-yard Hail Mary TD.

Jalin Hyatt, WR, Giants. Hyatt only had two targets, like Mims, but he made the most of them, racking up 89 yards. His big-play potential is clear, and Hyatt might get more chances soon for a team that desperately needs more receivers with that kind of talent. Ahead of the game in San Francisco next week, stash him but don’t use him.

Nelson Agholor, WR, Ravens. In Week 2, Agholor caught five of six targets for 63 yards (all team highs among Baltimore’s WRs) and a touchdown, but Odell Beckham Jr.’s ankle injury is primarily to blame for his inclusion on this list. Agholor will continue to contribute significantly to the offence even if OBJ is sidelined, making him flex-worthy against the Colts in Week 3.

Roschon Johnson, RB, Bears. D’Onta Foreman was a healthy scratch for Chicago in Week 2, and while though Johnson didn’t particularly benefit from it (six touches, 42 total yards). Grab him now, and you can even consider using him as a dee-league flex against Kansas City the following week if you do.

Cade Otton, TE, Buccaneers. Otton caught every one of his six targets for 41 yards, which may not seem like much, but it’s enough to make him a starter in 12-team PPR teams most weeks. He is on this list primarily because of his Week 3 game against the Eagles, who had been humiliated by TEs for the past two weeks. If you’re struggling at tight end, Otton is a top streaming option.

Zach Ertz, TE, Cardinals. After his 10 targets in Week 1, nobody wanted him, but maybe after another eight targets (and six catches) in Week 2, fantasy owners will take notice. Most weeks, Ertz’s ceiling isn’t too high, but PPR owners shouldn’t ignore his busy position on a terrible team. Next week against Dallas, he will be a questionable TE1 with a strong floor.

Craig Reynolds, RB, Lions. Jahmyr Gibbs, a rookie, doesn’t merely have access because of David Montgomery’s thigh injury. As we saw in the second half against the Seahawks, Reynolds will also see more touches, and if Montgomery is out for a few of games, he could be able to contribute just enough to secure a flex slot. In shallow leagues, you shouldn’t worry about him, but deep leaguers should stockpile him ahead of a possible advantageous matchup versus Atlanta.

Top fantasy College Football defense streamers for Week 3:

Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Texans)-

Even a somewhat subpar D/ST like Jacksonville has streaming potential this week since we love to pick on inexperienced QBs, especially when they are playing away from home. In Week 1, the Jaguars targeted fellow rookie Anthony Richardson, recording four sacks and three takeaways. Houston’s offensive line issues should make it easier for the Jaguars to feast once more.

Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Bears)-

The Chiefs were able to reclaim Chris Jones in Week 2, and they now have a favourable home game against an inconsistent Justin Fields and the Chicago offence. Let’s accept it.

Seattle Seahawks (vs. Panthers)-

We’re prepared to take a chance on the 12th Man-inspired Seahawks versus a rookie QB coming off a short week even though the Legion of Boom won’t be entering through that door.

Detroit Lions (vs. Falcons)-

The Lions will concede yards and points, but they can pressure the quarterback and force a few miscues as well. In deep leagues, streaming them at home against Desmond Ridder sounds like a decent idea.

Frequently Asked Question College Football:

How long do college football games last?

Many sports fans are eagerly awaiting the return of college football, but how long do games actually last?

Most TV networks reserve three hours for each game, but if you want to watch it again, you should schedule your DVR to record at least one hour after the game.

In fact, according to NCAA statistics, a college football game lasts an average of 3 hours, 24 minutes.

NFL games, which have recently varied from 3 hours and 3 minutes to 3 hours and 12 minutes, are substantially shorter than college football games. Even though they both employ the same 60-minute regular game clock, there are two key factors that account for the variance.

First, college football’s halftime interval is 20 minutes as opposed to the pro game’s 12-minute break. It’s difficult to imagine that altering given how deeply established marching bands are in the culture of the game. Additionally, according to college football regulations, the clock must stop upon a team’s first down.

Football in colleges also has a considerably longer overtime. The college game gives both sides the ball and has gone into seven overtimes five times, whereas the NFL has a 10-minute bonus period that can end after one score during the regular season. Several matches have gone over five hours in length, including a famous Arkansas-Kentucky game from 2003.

When you take into account that football games only feature an average of 11 minutes of action, the length of a game is exceptionally long.

Of all the major American sports, college football games are the longest. Baseball games are frequently criticised for being too long, yet in 2019, games only took 3 hours and 5 minutes to complete. While college basketball games, which have 40 hours of game time, often last slightly over two hours, NBA games in the 2018–19 season lasted an average of 2 hours and 14 minutes despite only having 48 minutes of game time.

How long is a college football game?

NFL games are said to last an average of three hours and twelve minutes, though this depends on the sample size. In contrast, a college football game lasts, on average, 3 hours and 24 minutes.

College football is the major American sport with the longest history. Baseball is frequently criticised for its lengthy game times, yet the 2019 games start in just 3 hours, 5 minutes. While the length of the game is only 48 minutes, NBA games in the 2018–19 season lasted 2 hours and 14 minutes. The length of an average NCAA College Football game is 3 hours and 24 minutes.

How long are college football games?

Despite having the identical 60-minute game clock, there are two important drivers. Unlike professional football, which only has a 12-minute halftime break, college football has a 20-minute break.

When does college football start 2022?

Never too early to start getting ready for the upcoming college football season. Georgia won the College Football Playoff championship in stunning way last year, and the 2022 season is expected to continue the trend of great play.

Here you can find out when the 2022 college football season kicks out. Any changes to the games or times will be reflected in this report.

This year’s “Week Zero” will mark the start of the 2022 season on Saturday, August 27, 2023. The next week, the FBS season will begin for the majority of the country.

What is the nil in college football?

Only amateurs have played college football since 1869. Officially, it still is, but for the first time, players can now legitimately make a few dollars while they are out on the pitch.

Regulations that made it impossible for NCAA athletes to profit from their involvement in economic undertakings without losing their eligibility have been removed by state laws and NCAA changes.

The rights to a player’s name, likeness, and image can now be sold for money. It has already been a potential windfall for the most well-known athletes, but it also brings up some enforcement concerns.

Its literal meaning is “name, image, and likeness,” and it alludes to the capacity of college athletes to make money off of themselves.

NIL gives players the right to publicity that average people already have but was previously restricted by the NCAA.

Players can promote themselves or other businesses in public appearances or take payment from businesses in exchange for featuring them in products or commercials. Football players in college, like all other student-athletes, were previously prohibited from selling their likeness while receiving financial aid. The new NIL regulation modifications entirely overturn that precedent.

How does college football overtime work?

For a significant chunk of collegiate football history, games may end in ties. Thankfully, overtime regulations are now in place to determine the winner, which is wonderful for the record books and increases the drama for players and spectators.

Overtime rules were first used in playoff games in the 1995 Las Vegas Bowl, and they were later adopted for the 1995–1996 bowl season. In the opening play of overtime, Toledo defeated Nevada 40-37 after making a field goal.

In the autumn of 1996, regular-season games started to include overtime.
