Even at 77 years old, Dolly Parton still has the ability to enthral millions of people. Parton demonstrated this on Thursday night during the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game against the Washington Commanders, where she gave a stunning halftime show.
Appearing like a modified Cowboys cheerleader, Parton hit the stage at AT&T Stadium in Arlington and promptly began into “Jolene.”
She also performed a performance of Queen’s “We Are the Champions” and “9 to 5”, which may have been a nod to the Texas Rangers, who captured the World Series in November.
Tony Romo, a former quarterback for the Cowboys and CBS commentator, appeared to be genuinely enjoying Parton’s show.

Jim Nantz had to nudge Romo back to the topic of the game because he found it so entertaining.
For all three of the 2023 Thanksgiving games, the NFL selected three distinct performers to play at halftime. During the Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions halftime show, Jack Harlow performed. Compared to Parton, his performance didn’t get as much praise.
The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks will play a late-night game on Thursday. DJ Steve Aoki will play during halftime. Wishing him luck. It will be challenging to follow Parton’s performance.
