FBI Buffalo has stated that our investigation into the rainbow bridge explosion incident is now complete. The agency claimed in a statement that no explosives were discovered at the area and that there was no proof of a terrorist connection.
The results of the agency’s investigation corroborate what New York Governor Kathy Hochul said at a news conference on Wednesday night: there is no evidence that the collision that happened on the American side of the Rainbow Bridge, which connects Canada and the United States at Niagara Falls bridge explosion, New York, was caused by a terrorist attack.

She also told the reporters that there were no indications of explosives at the scene during the press conference.
According to the governor, the driver and the passenger both died. Hochul told the reporters that the investigation will take some time because of the vehicle’s considerable damage and the debris that was scattered over thirteen booths.
Alejandro Mayorkas, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, reiterated in a statement on X that the Niagara Falls bridge explosion incident did not seem to be connected to terrorism shortly after Hochul’s news conference.
A briefcase or luggage was found at the scene by detectives, according to individuals who talked with ABC News. The bomb squad handled the package since they were treating it like a possible explosive device when they handled it earlier in the day.
Hochul said the Rainbow Bridge was blocked after the incident.
Later in the evening, traffic on the Queenston-Lewiston, Whirlpool-Rapids, and Peace bridges in Canada reopened.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams declared that he was monitoring the situation.
Adams said that the NYPD has already stepped up security for Thanksgiving and that the public will see additional protection at several locations throughout New York City, including points of entry and exit.
